It’s
Diwali
this week. And the timing couldn’t be more spot on. I could do with some vibrancy and festivity given how gloomy and dark it is in Denmark these days. I’m craving some serious sunshine right now.
Since the likelihood of sunny weather is next to zero, I’ll go with the next best thing - a bit of Danish style
hygge
with an Indian twist. I'm thinking festive Diwali diyas instead of candles and a
saree
instead of a sweater. I miss wearing sarees! I think I might even try my hand at some traditional Diwali snacks this year.
Last year, I made this colourful Diwali gift wrap …it’s a favourite among all my gift wrapping ideas. This year, I thought I’d give Diwali greeting cards a try. These designs reminds me of the colourful rangoli patterns in India.
